My younger sister Kim is getting married in May, and I was in charge of making her centerpieces.  I made the bowls by creating a  mold and casting  the bowls out of a concrete and sand mixture. The bowls are filled with different varieties of succulents: Echeveria prolifica, Sempervivum ‘Blue Twilight’ and Crassula argentea (Jade).  There are twenty bowls all together. The plants have another two months to root in, and fill in the remaining space. To me, the Jade is really special.  Essentially, most of the  Jade planted in the bowls came from my gran’s jade plant that  I had propagated several years ago for myself.
